Vrdnik Spa Resort - Serbia - 15th June 2026

Zdravo from Serbia,

We checked out early from Centra Not-Forever, and got the public bus to main bus station (Belgrada Autobus Stanicka - or something similar) for our 7.50 am bus. Only problem was, the bus left at 11.45 am. Oh well, 4 hours to sit, drink coffee, eat burek, and go on our phones.

We finally got on the coach as we were having a one-night spoil in a spa-resort called Premier Aqua in a town called Vrdnik, that was famous for mineral-laden, thermal springs. Rightio, sounds good.

After getting off at the wrong stop, we finally made our way to the right street, had a great salad and grilled at a resto for lunch and checked in. 

After check in, they gave us a complimentary drink - like most places - but this was no iced water with lemon, oh no, this was rakija. Cherry for me, raspberry for Jen-Jen. Great start for a health resort.

Anyway, we got into our room, donned our swimmers and robes and hit the spa. 

The rest of the day was spent in and out of the mineral pools, salt room, steam saunas, infrared sauna, and day beds. 

Pretty bloody good. 

Oh, and they also had both dinner and breaky buffets. 

Yeah baby - also we couldn't be bothered taking pics, so meh...

Also, both the Socceroos and Scotland won their opening games of the World Cup. 

Awesome little spoil, and we left feeling pretty good in both mind and body.

A quick plane trip back to Podgorica that night, and we were back in Delph.

Serbia was a great experience. 

Belgrade was a city of contrasts, but the people that we encountered everywhere in Serbia were friendly, spoke English and welcomed tourism.

The Balkan area will boom in the next few years, and we’d return to Serbia in a flash.

Next stop, not sure… I’ll keep you posted.
