Bretty cooked bacon and egg bagels for breaky before we drove to a bike hire place and cafe on the loch - which was closed. We then reevaluated and drove into the town car park for coffee. We planned our day, and the first stop was The Hermitage. I stayed in the van and got this blog up to date, while Jen trekked down to some streams and got some good pics.

We then drove the short distance to Dunkeld which is a twin town with Birnam - so we’re talking major Macbeth territory here.

Again, Dunkeld was a ripper of a village, and we hired e-bikes. We did the riverside route that was 10 miles long through bush, up onto road tracks, over bridges, under fallen trees, trolls bridges, and the like. It was very epic, extremely fun, and a great accomplishment, seeing as how we finished it in about 90 minutes.

A quick bite - great homemade pork sausage roll, caramel donut, and coffee, and we hot-footed it for St. Andrews.

The whole impetus for this trip was that my old mate Daz from Belushi’s is getting married to Sophie in St. Andrews.

We arrived in this posh town - the birthplace of golf - around 6 pm, parked up on The Shore - a free beach car park, and hit the Brewdog pub for burgers, beers, and bowls.

Finally, after trying to meet up with him for three days in the Burgh, he taxied into town and we had a few wee whiskeys and caught up in the van.

And that brings us up to date…the wedding is in two days, so chill day and caravan park tomorrow before the wedding and then the van return.

Cheers
